Motosu Lake Rainbow Flower Festival (about 80 minutes free time, from September 1 to October 8; during this period we will not visit Oishi Park)
The spectacular sight of summer Mt. Fuji paired with rainbow flower fields!

The Fuji Five Lakes area is a must-see when traveling around Tokyo. Surrounded by lakes and seasonal flower gardens, it’s especially stunning in spring and summer. The “Motosu Lake Resort (Fuji Motosuko Resort),” with its prime location, offers sweeping views of Mt. Fuji with colorful fields below. Known for its spring “Fuji Shibazakura Festival,” the follow-up “Rainbow Flower Festival” kicks off in September and should not be missed!

From August 31, 2024, the “Rainbow Flower Festival (虹の花まつり)” will showcase over 90,000 colorful blooms across 15 species, forming a vibrant flower carpet beneath summer Mt. Fuji. The garden also features Instagram-worthy spots like the “Boat Sailing on the Rainbow Sea” and the “Yellow Gate of Happiness.”
Admission not included: 1,000 yen (junior high school & adults), 500 yen (children 3+).

  • Kochia Season (mid–late October): The park glows with crimson kochia bushes, making autumn especially beautiful.

Oishi Park also features “Kitchen with a View of Mt. Fuji” and “Café with a View of Mt. Fuji,” where you can relax with Yamanashi peach juice, creamy ice cream, pizza, curry, and more while gazing at Mt. Fuji.
